Good afternoon, Band Parents!

I wanted to remind you about a couple of things for this week.

1.   Tomorrow is our Pre-UIL Concert beginning at 6:30 PM at the Huntsville High School Auditorium.  This will be a short concert and we will follow UIL etiquette regarding moving on and off the stage.  The directors will not address the audience and there will be no recognitions.  Each band will go through the warm up process, perform on stage, and then sight read in the band hall.  There will be judges to give us comments too.  This is a mandatory performance for all band students.  (Track students have been cleared to leave the track meet once they complete their events and join the band.)  All students are to meet at their designated times in concert attire.  Here is the schedule for the evening:

7:10 PM	Go Home!	Sight read in Band Hall	Performance in Auditorium
7:20 PM		Go Home!
7:35 PM			Sight read in Band Hall
8:00 PM			Go Home!

We will be making recordings of each band’s selections, so PLEASE be very quiet during each performance so that the students have a good reference recording.

Parents, I invite and encourage you to come and support your students.

2.   Our new sectional schedule will be in effect next week for all bands.  Students will have 2 rehearsals a week to prepare for UIL Contest.  Make arrangements for your students to be at all rehearsals.
