Pre-UIL performance for HMB and MPMS Bands are cancelled for tonight because of weather.

Congratulations to the HMB for doing so well at Solo & Ensemble Contest last Friday. They earned a total of 228 First Division Medals and 38 students qualified for Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest in May! Congratulations to all the students for continuing the tradition of excellence in the Huntsville Hornet Military Marching Band!
I have a few things for the next couple of weeks:
1. Next week (March 3rd) we begin our new sectional schedule. It is:

2. Tuesday, 4 March, is our Pre-UIL Concert. The schedule for each group is below. The times are earlier than our usual performance times because of some circumstances beyond our control. We are also hosting the Middle School bands and we have judges coming in to critique each band's performance. THERE WILL BE NO SECTIONALS TUESDAY, 4 MARCH, DUE TO THE CONCERTS.
Remember, we will be in full uniform and will need to bring uniforms Tuesday morning. Also, gentlemen must be clean shaven and ladies check hair and nails.

This concert is not for student recognition. There will be no announcements other than the "official" UIL Contest announcement.
3. The following week, 10 March, is Spring Break. Students, please be careful and make good choices. Don't be DUMB!!!
4. When we return, 17 March, contest will be only 3 weeks away. It is very important that each student does his/her very best to be as fully prepared for each rehearsal as possible. I will send more information regarding schedules for contest when I receive them.
